Fall is here and we couldn't be happier! There is so much to do and with the weather cooling down, Kansas City comes alive and we get to introduce Bailey to all of our favorite things. Can you believe she is 5 months old today? Time...slow down!
Bailey Jayne - Five Months Old
Luckily we don't have to go in for a checkup (or shots!) this month, so we had to do our measurements at the house today (with a bit of a full belly). Bailey now weighs 16 lbs. 6 oz. and is 26-1/4" tall! And her hair is growing so fast, we may need our first haircut soon!

Bailey loves getting out in this beautiful weather, going on walks and to festivals with Mommy, Daddy and Tequila. She is really getting into independently playing around with her toys and is starting to sit on her own which is giving her more of the freedom she loves. The jumper is still one of our favorites, but now we like moving around on the ground, trying to scoot on the floor (with a little help), reaching for anything and everything and putting them in her mouth. She loves the camera, dancing and singing with Mommy, checking herself out in the mirror and watching her big brother run around outside.
It's Fall Festival time in KC and we are having so much fun taking Bailey out in her new backpack. She loves it until she gets too tired, then it is back in the ring sling for snuggles with Mom. We've already hit some of our favorite festivals - Old Settler's, OP Fall Fest and we have several more to go. Looking forward to more outdoor fun this fall!

This year we discovered Grinter Farms, near Lawrence that is a local farm where they plant Sunflowers. They are only in bloom a few shorts weeks/days but it is a beautiful sight. We decided to pack up early and head down there for some photos with Bailey. Tequila even got to go! It was really hot and really bright out but we were able to get a few fun shots before we left.

This month, Mommy and Daddy got to get out for a day date (thanks to Gma & Gpa for watching Miss B!) and then we headed up North to Savannah to celebrate Adam & Jennifer Ledden! Bailey loved getting to finally meet all the Ledden's, our buddy J.Lo and met her new bestie Miss Rory!

Bailey's first football season and post season baseball! She loves watching the Royals and now gets to watch Daddy's favorite teams play football. She of course has an outfit for all occasions and loves to cheer on her teams with Daddy! Talk about puppy love, Tequila loves Bailey more and more each day and he has gotten a chance to take advantage of a lot more outdoor fun with his little sister. We love going to the parks and he got to go swimming at Black Bob Bay before they drained the pools. He loved it and Bailey loves watching him play!

Bailey's smiles can light up the room and now she is adding a little personality to them. She's got sneaky smiles, sweet smiles, "I'm trouble" smiles and "Having way too much fun smiles". Sometimes it's hard to capture those smiles because she moves around so much but we have fun trying!

This girl is definitely got a personality and recently she started adding a little Miley to it. Yes, much to Daddy's dismay our little girl is trying to follow Ms. Cyrus' footsteps by showing off her...tongue (get your head out of the gutter!). Bailey has found her tongue and thinks it is hilarious to stick it out all the time. She cracks herself up!

Let me see your selfie! Bailey is perfecting the art of the selfie already. She loves looking at herself in the camera and trying to take pics. There are definitely a lot of outtakes but she has gotten a few good ones! She definitely follows in her Daddy's footsteps and loves to ham it up for the camera...I feel this will be an ongoing trend.

Show me those teeth! Yep, it's true...we have our first two teeth! They first started popping through just before Labor Day and boy are they sharp! It makes feeding a bit of a challenge some days (we've had some major biting incidents), but we are pushing through it. And many of you have noticed her "anklet" but it's actually an amber necklace that has been a lifesaver with her so far...that and the natural teething tablets we picked up. We like to stick anything and everything into our mouth except for our teething toys (of course) but Mommy and Daddy's fingers (and noses) seem to be our favorite!
