How can my baby be 2 already? It doesn't seem possible that this little girl has brightened up our lives for two whole years already. I wish time would slow down but I really enjoy watching our baby girl bloom into the sweet (and ornery) soul that dances through our days. She came into our lives 2 years ago and gave us the greatest gift of all...to be her parents. Happy Birthday Sweet Bailey Jayne, we hope this year brings even more love and light your way!
This face makes my heart happy
Let's take a look at some of what makes Bailey who she is:
Bailey Loves: picking every flower she sees (though we are trying to limit this to only dandelions), scarring people with her lion roar, wearing princess dresses and being fancy, dancing, singing along with Mommy to her favorite Disney songs, doing somersaults (finally did one all by herself!), playing with her princesses, racing with Callie, hugging her Tete, making everyone go into her tent to play with her princesses, doing puzzles, making shapes with PlayDoh, running, all things Moana, digging in the mud and dirt, SHOES, repeating every word you say, making new friends, giving hugs and kisses (especially to her new baby sister) and hopping around the house.
Things that make us laugh when we're trying not to: her naked diaper kick flip, her amazing accuracy when chucking something she's not supposed to, the way she mispronounces "fork" (think of another 4 letter F word) especially in a crowded restaurant, her teenage-perfected eye roll and the impressive stubborn hold outs rivaled only by her mother (two Taurus' are not to be messed with).
When we started on this journey of parenthood, Brian and I couldn't even begin to imagine what to expect. We never dreamed that we could love this much, be absolutely terrified at moments, laugh as hard or gain a completely new appreciation of life through the eyes of a child. Thank you baby girl for bringing so much joy and hope, love and laughter to our lives everyday. You gave us the greatest gift and hope you know how much we love you!
Now..let's get started! Deanna Rose is open for the year! We love heading to the farmstead to check on her favorite animals and play the day away. We took Gigi and PopPop on opening day, tried to walk baby Sienna out several times and took Baby Sienna for her first trip along with our friend Everly and her new baby sister, Isla! We definitely look forward to a lot more fun days this season!

First time as a family of 4
While we awaited baby Sienna's big debut, we decided to fill our days with Spoil Bailey days and everyone got in on the fun including Uncle Mat! One of our favorite days was a day filled with shopping at the Disney store, mall walking, lunch and a carousel ride!
Big girl riding the escalator with Uncle Mat
We continued our Spoil Bailey Days with Uncle Mat and Gigi by spending the day Under the Sea at Sea Life and the free new exhibit at Crown Center. Bailey loved watching all the fish and she even got to touch a starfish, sea urchin and horseshoe crab! She was so careful and impressed the guy showing off the sea creatures.

This month we got to spend a really fun weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Schorr before baby Sienna arrived. Since Sienna was taking her time making her debut we got to show Grandma and Grandpa our favorite animals at Deanna Rose, went swimming, build towers with our blocks, have a picnic at the park, take Tete to the dog park and read all our favorite books. We are looking forward to seeing them this weekend to celebrate Bailey's second birthday and showing off our new baby sister!

Easter is so much fun through the eyes of children and Miss Bailey definitely had a lot of fun celebrating this year. We hunted up Easter Eggs at the Community Center with Grandma and Grandpa Schorr, got scared by the creepy Easter Bunny man, dyed some Easter Eggs with Daddy and spent Easter Sunday with the best present of all...little sissy Sienna. We are so glad the Easter Bunny decided to bring her just in time to celebrate!

She loves her baby sister so much
Probably the most exciting thing that has happened this month is, you guessed it, Bailey becoming a big sister! She was so helpful during the last several weeks with Mommy - helping pick things up Mommy couldn't reach, trying out calming and soothing relief techniques with Mommy and even walking the halls when we went in for a false alarm - she was quite the hit at the hospital. She has taken to her new role with such enthusiasm, sometimes it's hard for her to contain it, but we are working on it. She loves to hold her sister, laugh at her hiccups and sneezes and always wants to hold her hand. We love watching them together and can't wait to see all the fun they get into as they get older!

Daddy got us a FOTZ membership for Christmas and we have already put it to good use! Since it was so nice earlier this week, we decided to pack up the family with Gigi and head to the zoo. Bailey had so much fun looking at her favorite animals, having a picnic, playing on the playground and taking Daddy for his first ride on the treetop adventure! She also loved having baby Sienna with us to show off to the new friends she made.

We definitely have an outdoorsy girl. She is very curious and loves to explore her surroundings. Bailey loves to pick flowers which can be quite challenging when we're at the Arboretum or in front of a well manicured lawn, but we taught her to pick the fluffy and yellow dandelions and she loves the compromise. If there is dirt, sand or mud in the area, you better believe she'll be digging in it. So needless to say, when the weather is even remotely nice, we will spend as much time as we can outdoors. We love watching her discover new things and really enjoy nature!

Bailey loves her Wiggles & Giggles class with Miss Holly. She has really gotten into all the songs and she has a new best friend in class, Ellie and light up as soon as she walks into the room. We love watching the two of them together! Bailey has also gotten a lot bolder and has no qualms about jumping off the mountain by herself.

We love Miss Holly
We picked out this outfit specifically for W&G
Bailey and Tequila have a special bond and we look forward to seeing how Sienna will interact as she gets older. All I can say is that Tequila is earning his wings with his learned patience with Bailey's antics, dress up parties and super snuggles. He may look like he's rolling his eyes but deep down he loves all the extra attention.
Bows!
Making Bubba play with her in her tent...he's not that excited
Still love napping together
This girl definitely has her own sense of style and loves to show off her fancy threads all the time. Some people may question our fashion sense, but she doesn't let that stop her. She will run up to you in her favorite princess dress (of the week), shake her tail feather, tell you she thinks she looks pretty, does a little turn and will smile at you until you give in. We will let her indulge in her stylish whims because we love watching her creativity and independence blossom and (let's be honest) it's a lot easier than trying to get her to change her clothes.

With all of the energy we expel everyday, we tend to crash hard at random times. We laugh at those that ask us about our nap schedule...for we know not what they speak of. But if she does catch a little shut eye during the day, I try and create visible truth that a few moments of quiet do exist.
Even Princesses need a nap (on their Prince Charming of course)
This seems like an ideal napping pose
The RBA lunch wore us out (Thanks Stephanie for the accessories)
Watching this baby girl grow up is bittersweet. We love watching her blossom and grow but miss the sweet little baby she once was. Capturing these past two years has been so fun and though this will be the last monthly update on just Miss Bailey alone, we plan on sharing many more on the adventures of Bailey and Sienna. For now, here are a few more of our favorite memories.

We are so looking forward to celebrating all weekend with you and family and next weekend with all our friends. Bailey is definitely blessed to have so many wonderful people in her life and looks forward to seeing everyone over the next few weeks. We'll be posting pics from her birthday celebrations soon. Stay tuned for more updates on Bailey and Sienna's adventures! Happy Birthday baby girl!
