What a Blue OKCtober! This is our favorite month of the year and it has proven to be a really busy one too! We celebrated our 4 year anniversary on the 15th and spent the month at several festivals, trying to soak up this beautiful fall weather and of course, watching the Royals in the post season! Other than having to listen to Joe Buck, it's been a good one!
Well we made it to the half way mark! Our baby girl is 6 months old today and what a fun 6 months it has been! We've been so blessed with a sweet, funny and outgoing little girl and we have enjoyed watching her grow.
Bailey Jayne - 6 Months Old
Bailey now weighs 16 lbs. 10 oz. and is 26-3/4" long! Tomorrow is Bailey's 6 month check up which means a few shots and tears, but luckily we will be making it up to her with more trick or treat fun! If you have a chance, stop by Zoomin Market from 6:00pm - 8:00pm for the 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat and check out Bailey's new costume!

Bailey loves getting out of the house with Mom and Dad, whether it's at a festival or a trip to the park, she loves exploring new things, getting down and dirty in the grass, sand and even mud. She loves to grab at everything to put it in her mouth, she is quite the chatterbox - especially in the late evenings and early mornings, she loves to jump and be thrown in the air and giggles at just about everything. She is getting more mobile each day and has learned to scoot across the room to get what she's after so it won't be long until we have to completely baby proof the house. Tequila loves watching out for his little sister but he's getting a little weary of her newly found mobility.
This girl loves her Boys in Blue and it started from birth! Yes, she was born during a Royals game and if fate had turned a different way, could've been named Alexis or Alcides had their balls not fallen short of the fountains. She loves watching the game with her Daddy and loves to cheer on the Royals during the post season...though Mom and Dad have a hard time balancing their excitement while keeping the peace (we may have scared her with enthusiasm a few times!). We are so excited to be back to the World Series and will really be cheering on our boys! Last night was so long, the Royals won on Bailey's 6 month birthday and have a chance to get another tonight for second birthday win...Let's go Royals!
Bailey got to see the win early this morning because of her late night feeding!
So happy the Royals won the Pennant! World Series here we come!
Go Royals!

Our little monkey is growing by leaps and bounds and wants to grow up much faster than we are ready for. She has been standing and bouncing for months now but she wants to walk so bad. She isn't interested in crawling or rolling, she would much prefer to scoot or walk away. One of her favorite things to do is walk with us around the house, in the park and just about anywhere we are. We were able to get a few on video:
We have been taking advantage of this gorgeous October weather with plenty of fall festivals and Tequila even got in on the fun at Barktoberfest! We went to Louisburg Cider Fest, Maple Leaf Festival, Great Midwest Balloon Fest, the Pumpkin Patch and even a winery for Mom and Dad. Bailey loves looking around at all the people and getting out to play or dance to the music.
Here are some of our favorite pics from our weekend at Barktoberfest:

So I accidentally kept hitting record instead of picture so this is the best one I got at the fest...oops

We also got to visit Daddy while he was volunteering with his UMB Bank team at Deanna Rose Farmstead and got some practice trick or treating in while showing off some of our costumes at Olathe's Fall Halloween Festival (because 1 costume is never enough!!) We have a few more Halloween events this week and will post those pics soon.

We love our feet
Ok this actually belongs there
Poor rosy cheek teething baby
Proving she's always the one in control
One of our favorite things to do is be lifted and tossed in the air. Bailey will let you know when she's ready by jumping up and down, looking you in the eye and then bending forward so you don't have much of a choice. She can do this for hours which means that we are building some serious upper body strength (at least Mom and Dad are).

Her giggles are infectious and we spend most days (and well into the night) smiling at Daddy, giggling at Tequila and wiggling away from tickles. We are usually too busy laughing to with her but we were able to catch a few giggles:
It's all puppy love! Miss Bailey is fascinated with her big brother Tequila and loves to go on walks, play in the park and even share toys. Now that Bailey is becoming more mobile she wants to be near her big bro all the time and Tequila is a little weary of the space invasion but he loves her.
Good day at the dog park

Having their own convo
This month we have really gotten into more sensory play and Mom has found a lot of things around the house and at garage sales to play with. Our favorite things are finger painting (because it's messy), the ball pit (because we can throw balls everywhere), blocks that we can stack and knock down and especially Taggies - they don't actually have to be Taggie toys, anything with tags will work...we're obsessed! We also to bounce and love our new hanging bouncer...we like to walk around in it and spin in it. We also had our first adventures in the sand and we love it!!
She loves her Taggie
We love toys

SO...MUCH...FUN!
It's a hair thing...boy has it grown. Our bangs are getting longer and our Eric Hosmer duck tail has evolved more into a 90's rat tail, so we have to come up with more creative ways to fix it. Of course, Dad is up for the challenge with our Daddy Daughter Hair Academy.
Daddy makes us laugh
Mom tried adding a bow
The bow couldn't even hold it
Messy Hair Don't Care
We love making silly faces and have become quite expressive. Bailey is also turning into quite the little flirt...which makes Daddy a little weary. She is always batting her baby blues to the fellas!

We still can't believe our little monkey is already 6 months old! It seems like yesterday that we brought her home but we enjoy watching her grow everyday. Here are some more of our favorite photos of our little doll baby:

XOXO,
Sara, Brian, Bailey & Tequila
