Our little Sienna Rose is 4 months old today! Her magical unicorn baby sleeping status may be revoked, but she still lights up our world!
Sienna Rose - 4 Months Old
Sienna is weighing in at 12 lbs 6 oz and is 24-1/2" tall. She is growing like a weed and getting stronger everyday. We have our 4 month appointment this week, which means more shots...boo...but more snuggles...yeah!
Sienna Rose in her favorite chair
Sienna is quite the little firecracker...she is quickly learning that in order to compete with her sister she has to either a) look cuter or b) yell louder to get the attention she needs when big sis is showing off. She is getting more and more active everyday and wants to stand and walk so bad! She hates lying down and is really close to sitting up on her own, so with a little more help from her bumbo and some pillows she will get there soon. She is major teething right now so she is always gnawing on something, her favorites are her hands and Sophie. She is such a smiley girl and loves to giggle...we even found her tickle spot that produces a giggle anytime. She is fascinated by her big sister and gets so excited when Bailey wants to play with her. Her tummy time game is strong and she loves watching the crab toy dance in front of her. She is not a big fan of sleeping...like her big sis she has a big case of FOMO and doesn't want to miss a thing which has turned Mommy into a Mombie this month. She is very vocal and likes to express herself when she's happy or when she needs your attention pronto! She isn't the biggest snuggler but she prefers to be wrapped up on Mommy or swinging in Daddy's arms whenever she can. She has the sweetest smile and we love watching her grow!
Is there anything better than baby giggles? Probably not so we'll start off with a few...
Sienna can light up any room with her smile and she is getting more and more personality everyday. She loves to laugh and smile at everyone and we love her sweet gummy (but teething) grin!
Such a happy girl

Watch her go!
Everyday we love to play! Whether she is bouncing away in her jumper, chewing on Sophie or talking and kicking at her bear, Sienna loves exploring the world through play. Big sis Bailey even lets Sienna in on the fun and tries to show her how to play with some of her big girl toys. Watching her delight in discovery is one of the reasons why being a mom is so cool. One of her favorite toys is Crabby...a crab that rolls back and forth on its own. She is fascinated with it and could watch it for hours...if only her sis would let her and not hide it from her (sisters!).
Sissy wanted to dress us up
So fascinated by how Bailey plays
She loves her bouncer just like big sis did

Woah! It moves!
Yesterday was a super fun day! We got to celebrate our friend William turning two at MyGym and had the best time! Bailey ran around in circles, popped some bubbles, hung upside down, zip lined, jumped on the tramp, slid on a parachute and so much more! Sienna even got in on the fun and loved laughing at all the happy kids and getting in the ball pit! We also went to our friend Emily and Dave's party for their new brewery, Limitless Brewing coming soon to KC! The girls had so much fun playing and getting hugs from everyone!
Just hanging around
Getting some one on one time with the Birthday boy
Happy Birthday William!
She liked standing in the ball pit
A little sister sweetness
Ready to celebrate Limitless Brewing!
Grandma and Grandpa Schorr and Granny came to visit us this month, unfortunately it was the hottest weekend we had in July, but we made the most out of it indoors. We took them to the new Johnson County Museum, visited the Farmer's Market and did a lot of reading. The heat really got to us but we still had a wonderful time with everyone!
Getting ready for the museum in our outfit du jour

We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and a rare day off for Uncle Mat and went to visit our favorite animals at the zoo. Bailey finally got to take a train ride and her excitement was palpable. Sienna wasn't nearly as thrilled...especially after not one but two tunnels. We may not be doing that for a bit. But we did have a great time seeing the animals - we got to see the polar bear swim, the otters play in the water and the tree kangaroo running around! Bailey loved jumping like a kangaroo, watching the jellyfish and most of all hanging out with Uncle Mat! We've missed him!
This is what trying to get a pic of these two takes
So much fun hanging with Gigi
Not everyone can hold three people's hands at once, but Bailey can
Posing with the kangaroos
Waiting in line for the train!
We're on a train
OMG...a train!!
This may be the coolest thing ever
Sienna was a lot less impressed at the beginning of the ride
We did NOT like the second tunnel
Ok, the back half of the ride was much better...especially with the promise of no tunnels
Waddling like the penguins
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
The zoo took a lot out of us...good thing Uncle Mat was there
This month was full of fun and parties, but one of our favorites was a glow party celebrating our favorite 11 year old, Miss Lily! Bailey and Sienna had so much fun with the black lights and playing in the pool with the big girls. I can't believe Lily is starting 6th grade already...I remember when she was Bailey and Sienna's age...time goes by too fast but I am so glad we get to watch her grow into the beautiful and sweet girl that she is. Big props to her mama for setting such an amazing example and for being the coolest mama ever!
Birthday girl helping make sure that Bailey's mustache is on straight
Happy Birthday Lily!

Sienna really got into the glow scene
Bailey hanging out with all the big girls
When it gets a little too warm out and we need a break from the outdoors, the new Johnson County Museum is one of our favorite new locales to get some play time in. We even took Uncle Mat and Grandpa for some fun and to show them Bailey's favorite fish.
Reading with Pop Pop
Sienna even gets to play

Woah...colors
We took a little trip downtown this month with Gigi and discovered the Thomas the Train exhibit. Bailey hadn't watched Thomas before but she quickly fell in love and was consumed by the giant train table...we had a hard time getting her away. Sienna wasn't as impressed and had a lot more fun making a huge mess that Mom had to clean up...thank goodness Gigi was with us to watch Bailey who had no intention of stopping to help...it takes a village!
It was fascinating to watch all the kids play so intently while not disturbing one another
She really liked the magnets
Someone couldn't let sissy have all the fun
She wanted to take a pic in front of the large "coffee" like Mommy's (Ha!)
The ice cream cone was just as cool
Another day, another fun adventure with Gigi...this time we took our dog and pony show to Prairie Fire museum to look at dinosaurs, dig up some bones, explore some cool stones and play with masks all while strutting our stuff in our new pirate peacock outfit. Bailey is such a trip and I don't think we've laughed that hard in a long time. So lucky to have these adventures with Gigi!

She was so excited...I can't wait to go back
These girls love their Daddy and I love watching him with them. I definitely hit the jackpot when I got paired with him. Even after long days (and nights) of work, he is always up to get down and play with the girls, read the same books over (and over) again, make silly faces and make potty training more fun. We love you so much babe, thank you for all you do for our little family!

What would we do without our Guhg? I really have no idea because she has been my life saver especially over these last few weeks. The girls love her so much and we have so much fun on our special outings - whether it's treasure hunting, chasing her around at the park or running errands, she is always up for an adventure with us especially when Bailey has her sassy pants on. On thing is for certain, it's never boring. We love falling into adventures too like when we happened upon story time in the park complete with bubbles. Miss Bailey loves her Gigi so much and I love watching their bond grow. Miss Sienna loves looking at her colorful and sparkly shirts! We love you so much!

Sienna loves her Guhg time too!
Best score ever...a peacock skirt
I mean could this get any cuter?
When we found out we were having another girl, we couldn't wait to see how they would interact. I never dreamed that having two girls would be so much fun! I love watching the girls together because (for now) they love each other so much and love to do things together. Bailey is such an awesome big sister - she loves to help with Sissy whenever she can, show her how to play with her favorite toys and loves to sit and hold hands. We already can see a little sibling rivalry brewing but know that they are going to be besties for life.
On Wednesdays we wear pink

Such sweetness
Bailey's got swagger and certainly loves to play with her style any chance she gets. She is Miss Sassy Von Sassy Pants, knows it and loves it. She loves to showcase her unique fashions and expects to be noticed. We love watching her explore her creativity and can't wait to watch her little sister join in!
We still love our wedding dress

Perfect for cleaning
Our little ballerina butterfly
The joy in finding your favorite dress
Pretty much sums up her style
Bailey loves to dance and shake her booty! She had so much fun in her big girl dance class...she goes in by herself with Miss Holly and we don't see her until the hour is up. Then she comes home and shows off her new moves. We are so lucky to have found such a great teacher and we can't wait for her new set of classes to start. Bailey does like to add in her own flair at home and Sienna and I like to just sit back and watch. Oh and Bailey has mastered the perfect somersault - and loves to show it off!
We love Miss Holly
My sweet ballerina
Doing the splits
Both girls love their Bubba and he loves them too, even though he likes to keep his distance, especially when Miss Bailey is amped up. He usually goes with the flow and doesn't mind being a body pillow, a mannequin, a sounding board and best friend to both girls. He loves to go to the park with the girls and watch over them like a lion over his pride. I know he is really glad that Sienna isn't mobile just yet as Miss Bailey wears him out most of the time. We love you Tequila!

Bailey loves to help out in the kitchen and Miss Sienna is getting in on the action now! Good thing we have a large kitchen island for twice the fun (and mess). We love trying out new recipes that Bailey can make with us...it's always and adventure (a messy one) but so much fun to watch how proud she is of her creations.

My little sous chef
This past month has been a crazy roller coaster of weather. It started with some extreme heat, we had tons of rain and then it has ended with perfect fall-like temps so we tried to take advantage when we could. The girls love being outside and we try to get out and find new parks along with visiting some of our favorites. I love watching Sienna explore all the new textures and sights while Bailey makes new friends wherever we go (and has a really hard time when we or they have to leave). One of our favorite new parks has a zip line and Bailey learned how to hold on really quickly and became obsessed! Looks like we'll be heading back there a lot more often.

Cutest koala I know
Sleep is a rare commodity in this house and we may have been main lining coffee these last few weeks while we work on our new schedules, but every once in awhile the stars align and our girls take naps...albeit not together, but we're still holding out for that brass ring. If you see us around you don't need to mention we look tired, just offer us a shot of espresso and smile (not entirely kidding). When they do sleep, they sure do look angelic...
There's always one
Passed out in our favorite dress
A very rare moment in our household...don't worry it only lasted about 5 minutes
Being a unicorn princess is exhausting
Too much playing
I wish I could sleep as well as these two
Dog food and cake make us sleepy
This little one isn't the biggest snuggler so I make sure to soak them up when I can
It doesn't seem possible that Miss Sienna has already blessed us with 4 beautiful months, but each day she and her sister remind us of the joy in the little things. Life with two can have it's challenges but we really wouldn't have it any other way. Love you girls. Here are a few more of our favorite pics:
