Sienna Rose - 2 Months Old

It doesn't seem possible to have been blessed with this little sweetheart for two months already! She is growing up so fast, I am lucky I am able to watch her blossom everyday. She has been such an easy baby so far...I actually think she is a magical unicorn baby because she sleeps through the night (Miss B still doesn't) and completely rolls with the punches of having a two year old big sis that is constantly on the move.

Sienna Rose - 2 Months Old
Sienna is 11 lbs. 2 oz. and 23 - 1/2" tall. She has her big 2-month appointment on Thursday and Mommy is not looking forward to the shots...or how big sis will handle it.

Sienna in her favorite chair
Sienna is already on the move! She started rolling at 5 weeks and hasn't stopped. She loves strengthening her legs standing on Mommy and looking out at the world. She would rather stand than lay down and has no problem letting you know that. She isn't too keen on being put down either and luckily we babywear so she can snuggle up on me while I chase down Bailey. She sleeps like a champ at night and even though she doesn't love to nap, she is pretty easy going during the day when she's in the wrap. And those smiles...there really isn't anything better than a big, toothless baby smile...it comes from their belly up and melts your heart. Sienna loves smiling at and playing with her big sister who is now obsessed with my old Barbies, smiling and giggling at Tequila when he gets close, giving and getting lots of kisses, playing airplane with Daddy, listening to Mommy and Bailey read books, having dance parties in the living room, playing with our taggie Lion and the bear toy and snuggling up to Mommy and Daddy. She also loves being outside whether it be at the park, a party, the zoo or the farmstead, she loves the wind in her hair and experience all the shapes, colors and smells. She is such a little sweetheart and we are so lucky to have her in our lives

We have a little roller! In a blink of an eye, this girl is growing up on me and my first real eye opener was when my back was turned for a sec to grab her sister from running across the playground and when I turned back she had rolled over for the first time. Luckily it wasn't a one-off and I was able to capture the next roll on film. Now she rolls like a pro! Here are a few of our favorites:

Sienna is a pro at tummy time and seems to enjoy it a lot more than Bailey did at this age. I think she likes to feel like she has a little control in this crazy life and this way she doesn't feel as exposed as she does on her back.

New buddies

Oh, hello!

Sis isn't content to just lie back, she wants to stand and would like to walk but those darn little legs just don't cooperate. Slow down baby girl, you're already growing up too fast!

Look Ma, (almost) no hands!

Such a happy girl

Oh the smiles, I could live on those alone. Sienna has really started smiling and showing off her personality through her facial expressions and is really enjoying making everyone else smile. Here are some of our favorite faces and super sweet smiles:

Where would we be without babywearing? Probably walking around aimlessly from lack of sleep and sanity. Our wraps and carriers were a blessing with Bailey but a necessity now that Sienna has joined our family and we are so glad both our girls like to be wrapped and carried because it makes life and errands so much easier. I've been getting really good at wearing them both so I can run errands when neede!

Don't mind me, just look at how snuggly she is

Sisters, sisters...there were never such devoted sisters. I always have that song in my head whenever I watch these two. Bailey absolutely adores Sienna (sometimes a little too much) and Sienna looks up to her sister with big smiles already. I think they are plotting their takeover, but at least they look cute doing it!

She loves showing sis the ropes

And for those of you wondering if Bailey and Sienna look alike,  here are a few comparisons:

Left: Sienna 6 weeks, Right: Bailey 12 weeks
Top: Sienna at 7.5 weeks,  Bottom: Bailey: 7.5 weeks
Sienna loves her some cuddles and loves to branch out to new arms from time to time. Here are some of her favorite cuddle moments. She also loves hanging out with her buddy Isla...they are totally on the same page with those crazy sisters of theirs.

It seems like forever ago, but we had a wonderful and low-key Mother's Day brunch with the family. Sienna and Bailey loved spending time with everyone and relaxing on a beautiful day.

I love these girls who made me a Mama
We also celebrated my birthday this past month shopping with Gigi and the girls during the day and then a surprise picnic before the storms with Daddy and Sienna. I am so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life.

Miss Bailey still loves to dress up and she now loves to get her sissy in on the fun. It made her month when she got to dress up with Sienna and head to the OP Farmer's Market for a princess party and got to meet a mermaid! She was the only little Pocahontas there and loved seeing all the pretty dresses and showing off her sister.

Summertime is meant for parties and BBQs and we have already kicked off the summer with a birthday party, a going away party and block party so far. Our girls love getting out to socialize and get down on the dance floor, but we've learned that too many parties in one weekend can lead to some pretty decent meltdowns. Girls, you need to pace yourself!

We have also been getting a lot of pool time in. Sienna is still a bit too young to get in, but she loves hanging out in the water sling while Bailey swims and jumps in. Bailey is quite the fist and loves swimming on her own in her puddle jumpers. This summer is going to be the best one yet!

Every week we have to get in a little Guhg time. Bailey loves going on our treasure hunts and stopping at some of her favorite parks. They love to try and wear eachother out.

We took advantage of a beautiful morning last week to hit up Deanna Rose and play with some animals. You can't go wrong with the Farmstead!

We also took advantage of Dad's half day and Uncle Mat's day off and went to the zoo. It was a bit chilly and windy but we had a lot of fun.

We spend as much time outdoors as we can, whether at a park or just in the backyard. Bailey loves to explore the elements and look for bugs...though we do NOT like it when they touch us. She loves to get down and dirty until she realizes that she has gotten her clothes dirty, but she is usually a good sport about it...and bonus she gets to take off her shoes! Bailey also loves to look for wildlife while we are out and so far we've seen frogs, turtles, a mama and baby stork, lots of ducks and Canadian geese and a few snakes (which Bailey loves and mom does not).

All Memorial Weekend, Bailey only talked about going fishing so we geared up, gathered Gigi, Pop Pop, Uncle Mat and the dogs and went to Lake Olathe to try and reel in the big ones. We didn't catch anything but had a lot of fun trying. Bailey gave up on the fishing early and had way more fun playing in the lake with Uncle Mat.

Sadly this past month we said goodbye to our last Wiggles and Giggles class. We have had so much fun with Miss Holly, dancing and meeting new friends, and all good things must come to an end. But fear not, we are moving on up to a big kids dance class in July, so stay tuned for some more fun!

We are going to miss Miss Holly
Our Uncle Mat is the coolest and he is so cool that he spent one of his last free days off with us shopping, playing with Miss Bailey and wearing our girl out. She loves her Uncle Mat and always requests his presence for all our activities.

There is nothing like the love between a girl and her dog, and Tequila is lucky enough to experience the love from both his girls. He may act like he is trying to ignore them, but he is always by their side. I've even caught them sneaking naps together. He definitely loves going on our morning walks and all the food Bailey is sharing with him. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful Bubba in our lives!

Nothing beats snuggles from a newborn and a toddler, or the peace that comes when they are both sleeping at once. when we can, we capture these favorite moments.

Hope you and your family are enjoying the first days of summer! We have a big month coming up with Sienna's first big trip to Vegas for Miss Stephanie's wedding so we'll be posting about that when we get back! Nothing like flying with a 2 month old and 2 year old to Vegas to make things interesting! Stay tuned!

XOXO,

Sara, Brian, Bailey, Sienna and Tequila

P.S. Here are a few outtakes this morning...
