Sienna Rose - 3 Months Old

Sienna is 3 months old today! Fair warning...there are lots of pics in this post because it's been a crazy month. It's what you get when you mix a momarazzi with her bestie's wedding/first trip with a new baby, 2 holidays and lots of summer fun! Plus the sheer adorableness coming from our two cuties is too sweet not to share!

Sienna Rose - 3 Months Old
Sienna is 11 lbs. 6 oz. and 24-1/2" tall. She doesn't have to go to the doctor this month (hooray!) but we will next month...hopefully Bailey doesn't get upset because she wants to get a shot too like she did at the 2-month appointment (you're darned if you do, darned if you don't).

Sienna Rose in her favorite chair
Sienna is growing so fast! This month has felt like a whirlwind and she has just blossomed into the sweetest, smiliest baby girl! She is so even-tempered, hardly fusses unless she is really hungry and still sleeps like a champ. She loves tummy time and showing off at how strong her neck and shoulder muscles are. She still rolls over without a problem and she can look all around and side to side. She loves standing up and kicking her legs so we set her in her jumper and she thinks she is such a big girl. She is working hard on those tummy muscles and sat in her Bumbo for the first time yesterday. She loves watching her big sis, passing out in Daddy's arms and checking out the world from the comfort of the Solly wrap. She loves playing with her new taggie blanket from Miss Karen, making her wrist rattle make noise and trying to kick at the toys on her play mat. She is also teething like crazy and wanting to gnaw on everything so we have already busted out the amber beads and are on the lookout for those little tooth buds. She gets sweeter everyday and we love how much joy she brings to our hearts everyday.

Sienna's smiles can light up a room and some of the faces she makes are priceless. Is there anything better than sweet baby smiles and giggles? She is getting more expressive everyday and we love watching her little personality shine through. We hope her sweet silliness continues to develop and she stay just as happy as she grows up (though she can stay this little forever and I would be totally ok with that!).

Just starting to ham it up for the camera

Heart melt
Sienna is getting bigger and stronger everyday. She loves showing how well she can hold her head up during tummy time. We really love to do tummy time when sissy is napping so she gets Mommy all to herself and doesn't have to worry about being hugged too much by her big sissy, who means well but has a tendency to be a little too enthusiastic. She is still rolling over really well and has gotten quite good about turning her head side to side. Sienna also loves to play on her play mat with her toys - she especially likes the star that lights up and makes noise. New this month - she has started playing in her jumper. She was a little unsure at first but warmed up to it right away. Bailey loves to help sissy in her jumper or jump right next to her on her trampoline to show her how it's done...it won't be long until Sienna jumps around as much as her sister does. She has been working on pulling herself to sitting up while she is resting on our lap, working her ab muscles and so we set her in the Bumbo yesterday for the first time and she thought she was the coolest thing ever!

Can't I just roll in peace?

Such a big girl
Sitting like a champ

We are so blessed to live in an area with so many free and fun activities for families. Last Friday, Gigi and Pop Pop came over and we walked up to Stagecoach Park for Celebrate Olathe, a free concert and event with Beatles tribute band, Liverpool. It was a little warm and we hadn't taken any naps, but the girls did great and had so much fun dancing to the music, walking to the park and playing frisbee in the park.

Sienna fell asleep on the way there for a bit

Ready to party

Cute little photobombers

The night before we decided to go to the annual 1860's fireworks show at Mahaffie Stagecoach Farmstead because Bailey didn't get enough fireworks in on the 4th (she's obsessed). It's a free event located a few blocks from our house, so we packed the kids up and walked up and had a lot of fun walking around, riding on the stagecoach and watching the fireworks show. It's definitely recommended and we will make sure to add the event to our calendars from now on!

We had a bit of a rainy 4th of July this year so we didn't go to the pool as originally planned, but we made the best of it and enjoyed a relaxing day before an evening of fun with friends. Our little fireworks loved dressing up with Bubba and had so much fun over at the Warehams and Morrisseys celebrating. Bailey was so excited for the Fire - WORKS and made watching the show even more fun this year.

Fun with the Warehams

Girls just wanna have fun

We got everyone to look at the camera, not once...

...but multiple times! This is def frame worthy!

Fireworks are so much more fun with kiddos
When your gorgeous best friend from high school (and Bailey's Godmother) gets married, you bet on the most kick-a$$ weekend of shenanigans ever. Add in a toddler, a 2-month old and a week of 115*+ heat under the bright lights of Vegas and all bets are off. But with the generous help of 2 very patient/rock-star grandparents and an amazing hubs (I have mentioned how wonderful he is before, haven't I) then you have the most fun, jam-packed, exhausting and kick-a$$ weekend of shenanigans ever! It may have been a lot more PG than the many shenanigans we had pre-kiddos, but we still had a lot of fun spending time with everyone and showing the girls all the sights!

Get ready Vegas, here she comes!

We had fun even in face melting heat

Totally creepy characters, but Bailey thought they were pretty cool. Standing on the strip felt like being trapped in a car muffler...so hot but the girls were such troopers

When it's 98* at 9:00 am, you go to the pool...love my water sling!

After a full day at the pool and partying in the cabanas we were still in a great mood (even without naps!) Bailey loved swimming with everyone and playing with Miss Megan!

Finally passed out 6 minutes before landing (ugh)
July also brought on one of our favorite days, Father's Day! We turned it into a weekend of fun and played around at Scheel's, took naps and went to the Arboretum with the family to look for fairies. We are so lucky to have an amazing Daddy that takes care of us, makes us laugh, kisses our boo-boos and is always up for an adventure. And to Pop Pop and Grandpa Ray-Ray, thank you for being the best Dads/Grandpas in the world!

I never dreamed having two girls could be so much fun, and watching them together completely melts my heart. Bailey loves Sienna so much and Sienna is already looking up to her big sissy so much. I can't wait to watch the shenanigans these two get into...it is sure to be one heck of a ride! Right now Bailey loves to hold her sissy, show her all her dolls and Barbies, bop her on the nose and hold her hand. I hope they always remember the sweetness and love they have right now (and if not, we have photo proof).

This picture cracks me up

These two are going to be trouble someday

Walking to sissy

This month we decided to try something new and headed to the Drive In for the opening of Despicable Me 3. To say someone was a little excited would be an understatement. She picked out her outfit from head to toe and made quite the impression on fellow movie goers. It was a beautiful night and we will definitely be back for more fun!

This was 12 hours before we left for the theatre...she couldn't wait

I think she had the theme down

Whether we're at the pool or a local park, we are soaking up some much needed summer fun. Our new favorite past time is looking for fairies at dusk and we are welcoming them into our backyard with a fairy house of our own that Miss Bailey created. Sienna enjoys the outdoors when it isn't too hot and loves to look around at all the leaves on the trees and have the grass tickle her toes.

Forgotten puddle jumpers = hilarity watching her in a life jacket

We have gotten so much "Guhg" time in this past month and Miss Bailey couldn't be happier...they are the best of friends and I love watching them together. We are so lucky to be able to spend so much time together! This past month we did a lot of treasure hunting, had a lot of outdoor fun and checked out the new Kidscape at the Johnson County Museum.

We thought getting naked was hilarious

She really loved the fish

So sweet
The girls love to get out and learn and what better way than a trip to Wonderscope and Deanna Rose. Luckily we have annual memberships so we can take our circus anytime we want. Sienna really loved visiting Wonderscope for the first time - she saw her reflection for the first time and realized that Daddy had done her hair the night before (so fly). We also celebrated Bailey's sweet friend, Miss Everly's 3rd birthday with a morning party at Deanna Rose and the highlight (besides the friends and the cake) was definitely fishing. Bailey caught two and made sure each knew how much she appreciated them with a few smackeroos (no ,we don't encourage kissing fish, but it happens and we can totally laugh at it) - now Brian may have suggested that Bailey and her fish lips go and give Miss Bree a big smooch, but that was all him.

She loves looking at the animals

Happy Birthday Everly!

Looking so fly

Daddy does a great job with my hair!

She was laughing so hard that the goats tried to nibble her ear

Sienna loved Miss Maddy

Our little Dancing Queen is getting so big! She loves to dance around the house and this week she had her first big girl dance class. She was supposed to have class with 2-3 year olds but there weren't enough signed up so she got bumped up to the big girl class (3-5 year olds) and she did fantastic! Miss Holly from Wiggles & Giggles is the teacher and Bailey ran right into her arms and loved all the big girls telling her how cute she was. She did the entire hour class without us in the room and Miss Holly said she did awesome. We are so proud of this little bug! And she can't wait to go back!

So proud of her!

Bailey's style runs at two very different speeds - nakey + diaper or full fledged princess attire. Mom can usually coax a few outfit selections out of her that fall within that spectrum, but depending on the day you never know what you're gonna get. She's been known to go on errand runs with dad wearing PJ's, a tutu and some sweet shades so that she can strut around like she means business. And make sure to acknowledge her outfit, she will make sure to continue to get your attention to show you until you do. I love how creative she can be and I know she can't wait until Sienna's a little bigger to start dressing her up too! One of her favorite new must-haves is her "wedding dress" we picked up at a garage sale for $1 because she was convinced she needed to get married because Miss Stephanie was and she has already married Tequila several times. Look out boys, she doesn't take no for an answer :)

So happy with her new dress

Totally practical outfit for July

If Mom is icing her knee, the bride and Rapunzel also need to ice their knee

I love this pic

The bride
Just call her Chef Boy-ar-Bailey! Bailey loves to help around the house, but she really loves getting her hands dirty in the kitchen. She has world-famous brownies and chocolate chip cookies that she loves to make and share with friends! Bailey is also really good at whisking the eggs for breakfast, making tacos and even tried her hand in lasagna! It sure gets messy, but we all have a lot of fun!

Baking her world famous brownies

The lasagna is huge!

Oh Tequila...how patient you are. We love you so much and I know that sometimes it's a little too much, but you put up with all of us and secretly love all the extra attention. Bailey loves to tell everyone about her Bubba wherever we go and now she blames her toots on him even when he isn't in the room. In return, he enjoys all the extra food Bailey loves to sneak his way and the toys that he seems to think they share. Tequila loves keeping track of his newest wolf pack member, Sienna, and is always checking up on her to make sure she isn't  ready to move around too much because he isn't sure how he's going to deal with two wild little girls. We did surprise him with a dinner out at Rock & Brew where he had so much fun chilling on the patio, slurping water and eating a hot dog (and part of Bailey's meal).

Sleep tends to be a rare thing in this household...Sienna is still our magical unicorn that sleeps through the night, but she isn't too keen on taking naps unless she is on/touching Mom. Bailey has a serious case of FOMO that prevents her from getting lots of sleep (especially at night) because she doesn't want to miss a thing. I have been able to snap a few sleepy photos to prove that there are times that their eyes are closed.

Not a great shot of me, but this is how we looked the day after Vegas (not pictured, Tequila laying on the floor next to Bailey)

Oh look...they are both sleeping at the same time...

Haha...just kidding (this happens all the time)

There have been too many fun moments this past month to count and we have had fun keeping track of them all. Here are a few more favorite pics from this wild and crazy month...because there are always more :)

This pic pretty much sums up what it's like to hang out with the three of us. Me = exhausted and super awkward, Sienna = totally chill and asleep on Mom, Bailey = can't contain her.
