But the next couple of days are going to be crazy. Yesterday a plumber came over to disable all of the pipes and removed the sink.
No sink = No water in the main part of the house |
So glad to see this go...it took a real beating with the remodel :) |
Once the sink was out, we were able to take up the counter tops and remove the drywall where we will be adding the backsplash. The builder had used drywall as the back to the kitchen backsplash, which we would not recommend using. We will be getting some sheets of Greenboard (found at Home Depot/Lowes) which is moisture resistant that is typically used in kitchens and bathrooms. We will get that up tonight so we can completely clean up the sub floor so we will be all ready to go tomorrow.
For now, this is what our kitchen looks like:
No countertops and backer |
No fridge or any other appliances :) |
It will be worth it in the end :) |
Oh yeah, our fridge and stove are in our main room :) |
I'll try to post pictures of the floor tomorrow if I have time! Right now we are still on track to have everything in by the time Brian's parents come into town...fingers crossed!
XOXO,
Sara, Brian & Tequila
Oh, and while we were at it we added trim to the front entry way...
This will finish this room off nicely...we have to wait to do the sides until the floor is in. Adding more to the list :) |
